Axial fans for efficient cooling in fast-charging stations

The rapid development of electromobility has led to a greater demand for fast-charging stations that were specially designed to significantly speed up the battery charging of an electric car. Our customer VTS eCharge develops and produces top quality charging stations for electric cars. However, as fast charging stations are equipped with numerous electronic components including e.g. highly sophisticated rectifiers, the high charging performance leads to a significant development of heat. In order to ensure the reliability and efficiency of the charging station, effective cooling of the electronic components is vital. The project was realized using the reliable KA1725HA2BMT-Mg axial fan.

The demands on the fan used in the fast-charging station of VTS eCharge were extremely high. It had to be compact, powerful, reliable, highly robust and capable of functioning within a wide temperature range. The KA1725HA2BMT-Mg axial fan proved to be the ideal solution. It can be used at temperatures from -40°C to 85°C and is a true workhorse. The housing and the rotor blades are made from a high-quality magnesium alloy which allows the self-produced heat to be dissipated and reliably cools the bearings. The high-quality materials play a key role as far as durability and efficiency are concerned.

The AC fans are avilable in the sizes 172 to 280 mm and have durable double ball bearings. This SEPA EUROPE series naturally has the IP55 protection rating.
