CPU cooler HXB50 for industrial PCs

An industrial PC (IPC) is a computer that has been specially developed for industrial purposes. Compared to conventional desktop PCs, the IPC has more robust components and is designed to withstand the hard conditions that prevail in factories, warehouses and other industrial environments. The cooling of an industrial PC plays a significant role as the environments in question are often subject to high temperatures, dust, moisture and vibrations.

The HXB50 chip cooler provides continuous cooling while enabling the optimum operating temperature of the CPU of an industrial computer to be maintained. It comprises a heat sink with cooling fins or pins that maximize the heat dissipation. A fan is mounted on the heat sink so that the air can flow over the cooling structure and the heat effectively dissipated. The fan/heat sink combination is cost favourable and simple to install. It requires no maintenance and is extremely efficient.

The HXB50 has many advantages, e.g.:

Heat dissipation

The main advantage of a CPU cooler is that it dissipates the generated heat from the processor. This prevents overheating and ensures a stable operation of the system. Overheating can lead to performance problems, sudden system failure or even damage to the CPU.

Continuity in performance

An overheated processor can reduce its clock speed to reduce the generation of heat to protect itself. With the aid of an efficient CPU cooler, the processor can nevertheless maintain its maximum performance.

Longer lifespan

If the processor cooling is good, its lifespan will increase significantly as overheating can result in the premature wear of the CPU components.

Thanks to its compact design, low weight and the screwless installation, the assembly can be accurately positioned to effectively cool the relevant hotspot. The HXB50 chip cooler is equipped with a highly precise ball bearing and can be used at ambient temperatures between -10 and +85 °C. The user thus has a wide range of application possibilities. A further advantage is the long lifespan of the fan, boasting 350000 h (MTBF) at 40°C.

The HXB50 CPU cooler is supplied as a standard component but it can also be tailored to the customer’s requirements. SEPA EUROPE can customize parameters, e.g. size, tacho output, PWM input, operating voltage or pre-assembled connectors.
