Axial fan LF40P – ecological and sustainable

SEPA EUROPE places great importance on sustainable and low-resource products. A good example for this is the new LF40P fan generation. Less material, lower power consumption and higher fan efficiency are the outstanding features of this axial fan with the distinctive blade geometry.

Less material

The further developed popular fan dimensions 40×40 mm now bears the name LF40P. The new fan blades considerably improve the performance and noise level. LF stands for laminated fan and describes the motor construction with stator lamination. Thanks to this detail, the fan is highly effective while simultaneously saving weight.

By optimizing this model we were able to save a considerable amount of material with regard to the rotor and the frame compared to the previous model. The new rotor blades are thinner and they have the characteristic cuts that make them more efficient.

A further advantage of using less material is of course the weight that can be saved. The FL40P fan weighs a mere 12 g. This is of utmost importance for small, mobile devices that should not be made heavier due to active cooling.

Lower power consumption and pleasantly quiet

The high number of rotor blades produces an aerodynamic disadvantage in the pressure ratio of the blades to one another. The so-called „pressure gap“, provides the necessary compensation of the pressure ratios so that the performance of the otherwise relatively closely positioned rotor blades is optimized.

Axial fan blade geometry

The hub of the 40 mm model has been deliberately kept as small as possible which means that there is less „dead space“ in the centre and the longer rotor blades can be aerodynamically better optimized.  The blades are elegantly shaped with a cut at the ends.

In comparison with the previous model of the same size, 25% increase in performance can be observed with the same noise level. Furthermore the fan and the speed can be adapted to the required cooling capacity via the PWM so that only as much airflow noise is generated as is absolutely necessary to operate your device reliably. A further advantage is availability as the axial fan LF40P is available from stock.

As a Europe-wide operating company, SEPA EUROPE places great importance on environment-friendliness. Ecology and sustainability are living reality because we are fully aware of the responsibility that we have to continually make our contribution to climate protection and future generations and in turn to preserve a world worth living in.
