The task: Quiet and reliable cooling
The challenge in this customer project was to reliably cool all the electronic components that were mounted in the housing of a debugger.
The noise development presented a special challenge. The debugger is employed directly at the workplace of the developer. A clearly audible fan would in this case soon be regarded as irritating. The cooling solution would therefore have to provide an adequate airflow while simultaneously operating as quietly as possible.
The solution: Tailored performance with low operating noise
For this application SEPA EUROPE uses the MFB40H05LA high-performance fan with the compact dimensions of 40 × 40 × 10 mm. Thanks to its reduced speed, this fan combines the airflow required for cooling the housing with a low operating noise.
To ensure a high operational safety, this fan is equipped with two ball bearings which also provide an extremely long service life. The MFB40H05LA also has a frequency generator for function monitoring. The speed of the fan can thus be monitored and a potential fault detected immediately.
