The transition between heatsink and chip can contribute to the correct sizing of the cooling system.

 

Electrical components do not operate without losses. Heat is always generated during operation and must be dissipated so that their permissible limit temperature is not exceeded. The components heat up until the dissipated power equals the power loss. The sum of the heat dissipated by the components also heats the air inside a device. By cooling, passively or supported by fans, the heating can be kept low. If the power dissipated according to
