Precise speed control with extremely thin radial fans that draw in air from both sides
16.10.2013 - Beidseitig ansaugende super flache Radiallüfter erlauben präzise Drehzahlsteuerung

They owe these features to their flat design which originates from the ultrabook development and enables a height of a mere 5 mm.  Thanks to their virtually linear curve, the fans can be used in a wide variety of industrial applications which also benefit from the use of long-life sleeve bearings (L10 = 75.000 h, MTBF = 225.000@20°C).

Both models have a standard PWM input for precise speed control with a duty cycle of 0.7 to 2.5 VDC (23 kHz) and a pulse width of 30…100%. A tacho output monitors the correct function of the fans based on a square-wave type signal, whose frequency is equivalent to double the rotor speed. The typical rotor speed is 4.400 rpm. (HY_60Q05AP) or 5.200 rpm. (HY_45T05AP).

With the operating voltage of 5 VDC and a typical operating current of 250 mA (HY_60Q05AP) or 150 mA (HY_45T05AP), the radial fans achieve a maximum flow rate of 78 l/min (4.69 m3/h) or 38 l/min (2.28 m3/h).

Thanks to a light-weight rotor, precision balancing coupled with an extremely sturdy and shape-retaining frame of fibreglass-reinforced PBT, the fans are highly resistant to impact and vibration.  Further standard features of these models are the permanent electrical protection against reverse polarity, blocking and thermal overloading.
